FAQ
Yes, unless a building is purchased off the lot, all sheds are custom designed. You pick your size, style, colors, and options. You can design your own building on our website. There may be some customization (sizes and designs) not available on our website. We would be happy to work with you in creating a custom building. CLICK TO DESIGN.
Any portable building on the lot, unless tagged as sold, is available for purchase. The advantage is delivery within a week.
This depends on the city, village, or county you live in. Regulations vary from one building department to another and it is suggested that you contact the building department of your respective town, village or city to find out what is required. All permits are the responsibility of the homeowner.
Everlast Portable Buildings requires a 10% down payment when placing an order with the balance due upon delivery and setup (at your site/home). Cash, credit card (including debit) and personal checks are accepted for the down payment. There is a 3% service charge if using a credit card to pay the balance due (after 10% deposit). The 3% service charge does not apply to the 10% down payment (when using a credit card).
We work with Wells Fargo, State Bank of Arthur and Lightstream to provide a variety of financing options with approved credit. Please visit our financing page for more information. We also have a Rent-To-Own option on some buildings.
Most of our buildings (build on sites are not eligible for electric) are available with an optional electrical package which includes outlets, light switches, light fixtures, and breaker boxes. We do not however connect power to your shed, it is your responsibility to get the power to the shed.
Would you like your building placed directly on the ground? This is possible with our pressure treated foundation beams or “skids” and a Lifetime Warranty against decay and termites. As long s your site is reasonably level, we will supply shims and blocking to fine-tune the levelness.
However, for better support and to discourage varmints from burrowing, a rock or cement pad is a wise choice. Simply give us a call or talk to your sales rep for a price quote. Just as a precaution, check with your local zoning department or HOA to ensure that the shed you choose will meet their standard, and that you know their rules regarding shed placement on your property. Some areas require sheds to be anchored to the ground—If this is the case, check out our Shed Anchoring Kit.
We will provide the labor & material to Install a gravel or rock Pad that is level throughout. Our pad preparers will remove approximately 6” of topsoil before adding 6″ of gravel/rock compacted at least twice and leveled. We will remove all dirt that is removed. Please note that a 7’ opening will be necessary to get our equipment in.
If we can go through an opening straight, we need 1-2 feet wider than the building (short side) and up to 14 feet in height on some structures. If you have a fence in the way, most often it will be less expensive to remove a portion of fence to allow access to our trained delivery personnel than to have the shed built on site. We can come out to your site to do a site evaluation (at no charge).
As long as your building is generally level we will block and level up to 24″. Typically, we start at the highest corner with a 2″ solid block and level from that point.
For an additional charge we can take down a section(s) of fencing to allow for delivery. This will vary depending on the composition of the fence and how it is anchored. Not all fences are eligible.
Yes, for an additional charge we can put lattice, or 1” treated lumber. This will depend on the site and style of shed.
No, deliveries are only scheduled Monday through Friday. This is subject to change as we are working on every other Saturday deliveries.
Our sheds are built by skilled Amish Craftsmen.
Your new building will be delivered with our specially designed shed handling equipment. It will arrive on a tilting bed trailer and will be unloaded on the street or your driveway. We’ll then use our ‘Mule’ to maneuver it into position on your property. With its compact size and flotation tires, the mule does quite well in tight situations or with damp ground conditions. See Delivery Video.
No problem! Build On-Site. Your shed can be built right on your property. After constructing the kit at our shop, we will send out a crew of 3-5 craftsmen to assemble your building.
